Banana + Protein Milkshake

 

Out of all the supplements you can take, protein powder is probably my most recommended. Depending on what your daily ‘goal’ is in terms of an RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance), I understand that it can be hard to sometimes fit it all in.

Things like protein smoothies can be a real life-saver in such situations, as most can be made in advance for your busy day ahead. And the list of flavour combinations is endless - but this ones definitely my favourite!

*and in my classic style, its ridiculously quick and super simple

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 20g oats (optional - but good if you’re needing a ‘lil extra energy)

  • 5g cocoa powder

  • 1tsp maple syrup

  • 1 scoop protein powder

  • Dash of vanilla extract

  • 150ml almond milk (this is my preferred, but any milk will do)

*now if you want a real kick, adding ice and an espresso shot to this mix will honestly be the best decision of your day - especially if you’re making this to have in the AM.

How-To:

  • Chop frozen banana in small(ish) pieces and add, along with the rest of the ingredients, to a blender. Depending on consistency, water or extra milk may occasionally need to be added to create a smooth texture.

  • Once everything is blended together, add to drinking container and ENJOY!
